Last night I slept 73 minutes in total. Is that enough? Probably not. But here we are, I’m finishing up this year’s overview and you’re reading it. It’s been a special year, 2022, in more ways than one. This year, I’ve posted 14 new sessions and I filmed more sessions than I’ve posted. You know what that means: more of the good stuff in 2023. We’re starting the new year off right, with a new session every Wednesday in January, and likely February too. First up: a brand new Erin Rae session on January 4th!

2022 saw some musicians return for a second or even a third session, and others stepped in front of my cameras for the first time. It goes without saying how big an honor it is every single time an artist trusts me enough to film them. So, thank you musicians, thank you booking agents, promoters and managers who bothered to read my emails or pick up their phones. Thank you TakeRoot festival for having me over again, Martijn Groeneveld and Marien Dorleijn for collaborating with me in your studios and all of the other locations and people who have helped me in some way or another.

Here are some numbers from the YouTube channel:

• The Influences’ videos got 1 million views in 2022
• All those views count up to 45.000 hours of watch time
• Our community of subscribers grew with 1.600 this year, now 18.521 in total.

This is where the most viewers lived this year: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and The Netherlands. My own country kicked Australia out of the top five. It might have something to do with the four Dutch sessions I’ve posted this year.
