Like every year, I’ve made an overview of what Onder Invloed did in the past twelve months. It’s a good time to look back on what has been done and published, especially because I usually tend to look forward, always planning new sessions and looking for new opportunities. It’s been a busy year, with a lot of interesting sessions.

In this post, you’ll find all the sessions that were published in 2014, sometimes with one song embedded, other times the entire session has been published in one video. Beneath every artist name, you’ll see a link to the original post of that specific session. There might be sessions you’ve missed during the year, or you could feel the need to watch them again. Let me know what your favourite session or cover of 2014 is, by sharing it on Facebook or Twitter while either tagging or mentioning us.

I probably say this every year, but looking back I can’t help but feel really glad and proud about what I’ve been able to do. From ‘new’ personal favourites like Hiss Golden Messenger, William Tyler, The Wood Brothers and Daniel Romano to Dutch acts like Clean Pete, Blue Grass Boogiemen and one of my all time favourite bands Moss; they’ve all created something beautiful on their sessions. And then there are seven sessions that were filmed live at The Glad Cafe in Glasgow with some of Scotland’s finest musicians. It’s been over a year since that night and I still find myself daydreaming about it, it just was that good.

Looking forward to 2015, I can say with confidence that Onder Invloed will be just as active as ever, producing sessions that will hopefully bring you all a bit of beauty, be it for five, ten or twenty minutes at a time. There are already a bunch of sessions recorded, waiting to be edited or just to be posted. Amongst them: Peter Broderick, The Staves, My Bubba, John Paul Keith, Kinbrae, Kantör (or whatever Koen van de Wardt will have named his band by the time the session appears) and Happy Camper.

Onder Invloed will be back very soon in 2015, with a new session and what looks to be a very nice announcement. Thank you musicians, and thank you visitors for visiting the website, for liking the Facebook page and – most importantly – for watching the videos. I can’t express my gratitude enough. With those words I’ll leave you to your fireworks, oliebollen and champagne. Have an amazing but safe night and please enjoy these sessions of 2014.
