The first time I heard Meindert Talma‘s music, was when his album ‘Nu Geloof Ik Wat Er In De Bijbel Staat’ (trans: ‘I Now Believe What’s Written In The Bible’) was released in 2006. At Into The Great Wide Open this year, we invited Talma to be interviewed on his influences by De Volkskrant journalist Gijsbert Kamer and to play some songs. What followed, was an hour full of inspiration and very funny anecdotes.
