This June, Onder Invloed will exist for five years. I think that’s an achievement. For me it is anyway. You already know there’ll be a live event at EKKO in Utrecht on the 6th of June with Idiot Glee (USA), Color Reporters and Case Mayfield, but here it is: a digital Onder Invloed magazine! 119 pages of pure reading pleasure. In this magazine, I’ve interviewed Idiot Glee and Color Reporters, written a 12-page feature on the music scene in Glasgow (Scotland) and my experiences there, and portrayed 30 people that I’ve worked with in the past five years. They deserve a little bit of attention as a thank you for all they did for Onder Invloed. Also, thirteen musicians from The Netherlands, England, Scotland and Ireland have written essays on their inspirations and influences. I think they’ve become unique insights to what gets them going. You’ll find articles written by Davie Lawson, Jelle Paulusma, Nat Jenkins, Ryan Joseph Burns, Broeder Dieleman and many more.
