In November 2011, I flew to the South of France to film the recordings of Bertolf‘s third album in a town called Carpentras. Just outside of the studio there was a tree with a lamp in it. On one night, I got Bertolf to sit underneath and play a couple of songs. This is an acoustic version of his song ‘Wall’.

With this post, I’m also launching the category ‘Zonder Invloed‘, which is Dutch for ‘without influence’. Over the years, musicians have often recorded one of their own songs after recording the covers. Some of them have been published on this site already, some have stayed on hard drives, but all of them will appear in this new category for you to enjoy.
